On August 24, 2025, NYSSIU presented a $1,000 donation to Warrior Ranch Foundation President Eileen Shanahan, and Board of Director Larry Ortolani. The Warrior Ranch Foundation is a non-profit that works with Law Enforcement, First Responders, and Armed Service personnel who suffer from PTSD, who get to work with retired horses from racing or from other areas at the ranch, in which this type of therapy assists with and reduces their symptoms of PTSD.
